About the course
The overall aim of this course is to provide the knowledge of taxation in Uganda covering all aspects of tax and hands-on skills that are needed in handling all tax tasks of an enterprise using real business scenarios.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
Explain the different forms of taxation for individuals and organizations.
Compute the different tax liabilities for individuals and corporate bodies.
Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the practical concepts and principles of income tax returns.
Solve practical income tax problems which draw on the interaction of different income tax business processes.
The ability to examine the various line items of an income tax return.
File various tax returns of income, VAT and Customs.

CPA Innocent MUGISHA
CPA Innocent MUGISHA is a Professor of Finance and Accounting with over 10 years experience in teaching Taxation both at University and Professional level. His qualifications are: PhD (candidate), MBA(Finance), CPA(U), FCCA, CIPS, CTA and BCOM (Accounting). Innocent has also published various books on Taxation, Advanced Taxation and Principles of Tax for Business and Professional Studies.
