Job Description
LifeLink Medical Group is a private medical establishment, initially founded as Lifelink Medical Centre in 2008 with a goal of bringing superior but affordable medical services, closer to the people. Currently running a hospital in Namugongo, and an urban clinic in Ntinda. LifeLink offers both general and specialist health services in a sparkly, friendly and well-supervised environment.
Job Summary: LifeLink Medical Group has opened up opportunity for internship training for individuals who wish to gain practical experience and enhance their skills in; internal audit
Duties and Responsibilities
Risk Assessment
Risk Identification: Identify and assess risks within the organization's operations, processes, and systems.
Risk Management: Assist in developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
Audit Planning
Audit Scope: Determine the scope and objectives of audits based on risk assessments and management priorities.
Audit Programs: Develop detailed audit programs and testing procedures.
Audit Execution
Fieldwork: Conduct audit fieldwork, which includes gathering and analyzing data, evaluating controls, and testing transactions.
Interviews: Interview employees to gather information and understand processes.
Internal Control Evaluation
Control Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in mitigating risks and achieving organizational objectives.
Recommendations: Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiency.
Audit Reporting
Findings: Prepare audit findings and recommendations reports for management.
Presentation: Present audit findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Follow-Up: Monitor management's implementation of audit recommendations.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or an MBA (for senior positions).
Certifications
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA): Preferred certification demonstrating proficiency in internal audit standards and practices.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA): Relevant for auditors in public accounting firms or specific industries.
Skills and Competencies
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex processes and data.
Auditing Knowledge: Knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and techniques.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey audit findings and recommendations effectively.
IT Skills: Familiarity with audit software, data analytics tools, and ERP systems.
Ethical Standards: Uphold high ethical standards and integrity in conducting audits.
Project Management: Ability to manage audit projects and meet deadlines.
Experience
Work Experience: Typically, 2-5 years of experience in auditing or related fields.
Industry Experience: Experience in the specific industry or sector can be advantageous.

Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and attention to detail in auditing processes and documentation.
Objectivity: Ability to remain impartial and objective in assessing processes and controls.
