Job Description
The Allied Health Council is a body corporate established under the Allied Health Professionals Act Cap. 268 to regulate supervise and control the training and practice of the allied health professionals in Uganda
In accordance with Section 14(1) of the Allied Health Professionals Act CAP 268 and Policy No. 3.4.2 of the Human Resource Policies and Procedures Manual (As amended 2020), Allied Health Professionals Council invites applicants from suitably qualified Ugandans who are competent and self-motivated to apply for the vacant Job
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of allied health professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech-language pathologists.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and professional development.
Clinical Operations:
Oversee the delivery of allied health services, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures.
Monitor and manage regional budgets
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Education: Master's degree in an allied health discipline (e.g., occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in an allied health field, with 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze complex situations, problem-solve, and make informed decisions.
