Nile Breweries is now proudly part of AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, after the successful completion of the business combination with SABMiller plc in 2016.
The annual combined capacity of Nile Breweries Limited with two plants in Jinja and Mbarara stands at 3.0 million hectoliters of beer, making NBL the No 1 provider of locally produced beer in Uganda.
Job Description
The key purpose of this role is to interpret and implement the production plan, monitor and control production processes on shift using the correct tools as per VPO standards (such as OWS, Team Rooms, and 5S). Key Roles & Responsibilities: • Interpret and implement production plan for shift • Monitor and control production processes on shift using the correct tools as per the VPO standards (OWS, Team Rooms, 5S, etc)
• Should be able to use all digital tools during shift run
• Perform quality analysis and ensure process quality and productivity is achieved on your shift
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage waste and byproducts on shift
Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Communicate effectively in the workplace
Use escalation procedures to ensure that time to react is reduced
Execute on VPO implementation plans as per the VPO standards
Ensure proper understanding of VPO standards
Execute on goals and ensure shift goals are met
Ensure application of administration systems and procedures
Contribute to self and team development
Ensure all the administration is executed on time as per the VPO standards
Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles
Ensure problem solving is initiated as per triggers on the OWS
Drive your development plan
Ensure training bucket compliance and SKAP plan execution
Should be self-motivated, result and detail oriented
Should be ethical and a good team player
Excellent spoken and written English language and computer skills
Innovative and able to work with minimum supervision
Keeps abreast with new developments in own occupation/profession, actively seeks to develop oneself professionally and personally Requirements,
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Diploma/Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2 years of relevant experience
Should be hard working
Self-driven
Result-oriented
Ethical and team player
