Job Description
The overall purpose of this job is to oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse as per the set company guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory;
Route, pack and prepare orders for delivery, supervise loading of vehicles, schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups;
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of warehouse employees, assign tasks to warehouse staff;
Prepare and maintain a variety of records, logs and reports as required, including inventory of items in the warehouse and file records as required;
Observe health and safety regulations, maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition;
Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures and advise on budget- related needs;
Organize and maintain inventory and storage area for improved efficiency in warehouse operations;
Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse activities status;
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative ways of adjusting existing work procedures and practices;
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments for ease of collaboration;
Verify requisitions from various departments before issuing the products;
Prepare monthly reports for closing stocks, reviews (cost saving, KPIs, incidents, damages, compare dispatch against production) and submit to the Manager to aide in decision making;
Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the Stores and Warehouse Manager from time to time.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Diploma in Business Administration, Warehousing or Supply Chain
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field
