Job Description

Our client, an Engineering company based in Kampala, Uganda is looking to hire a skilled Auto Electrician to join their team. Your responsibilities include performing repairs, services, and upgrading automobile electrical systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on all equipment and trucks.
Rebuild and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Determines malfunction of electrical system by visual inspection and use of testing devices such as oscilloscope, voltmeter, and ammeter.
Tests and repairs starters, generators, and distributors.
Rebuilds electrical units, such as starters, generators, and door controls.
Repair and troubleshoot brake and suspension systems.
Maintain regular, clean, professional appearance of equipment and trucks.

Work with other employees to diagnose and resolve vehicle problems.
Use a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicle parts to fix.
Document all work performed and recommended on the repair.
Maintain all necessary records.
Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Other tasks as assigned.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
At least 10 years' experience.
Hands on experience in Caterpillar, Scania, Howo & other equipment & trucks are compulsory.
Ability to always demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
