Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent:

Post-secondary Education:

• Associate's degree or certification in process technology, chemical engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Relevant Experience:

• Several years (typically 5-7) of experience as a process operator in a manufacturing, chemical, or refinery environment.

Leadership Experience:

• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a similar setting.

Technical Skills:

Process Control:

• Proficiency in operating and understanding various control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

Equipment Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of process equipment such as reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and other relevant machinery.

Safety Standards:

• Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards and practices, including HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and PSM (Process Safety Management).

Problem-solving:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve process and equipment issues efficiently.

Soft Skills:

Leadership:

• Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise and mentor junior operators.

Communication:

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Work Environment:

• Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, noise, and exposure to chemicals.

Shift Work:

• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Certifications and Training:

Certifications:
