Raising Voices is a feminist organization based in Kampala, Uganda, working to prevent violence against women and children (VAW and VAC). We are well known for our innovation of evidence based VAW and VAC prevention methodologies, national engagement on VAC prevention in Uganda, as a regional convener and resource to organizations working on VAW prevention and response throughout the Horn, East and Southern Africa as well as a global thought leader for quality, scalable VAW and VAC prevention.

Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
Operations Management:
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Oversee daily operational activities and ensure efficient processes.
Coordinate logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to senior management.
Organize meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
Maintain records, databases, and filing systems.
Prepare and distribute internal communications and reports.
Project Coordination:
Plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with different departments to facilitate project progress.
Track project budgets and expenditures.
Human Resources Support:
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
Manage employee records and handle HR documentation.
Support performance management and employee relations activities.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) can be advantageous.
Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role, typically 3-5 years.
Experience in financial management, operations, and administrative support.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Personal Attributes:
Attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
Strong time management skills.
Additional Considerations
Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, financial software (like QuickBooks, SAP), and project management tools (like Asana, Trello) can be highly beneficial.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements specific to the industry.
Industry Experience: Specific industry experience might be required or preferred, depending on the organization's sector.
