Job Description
Tranzact Platform Ltd – is licenced as a Payment Service Operator (license No. PSO 28/24) and a Payment Service Provider (license No. PSP 21/24) by the Bank of Uganda, under the National Payment Systems Act 2020. The company is also registered and certified by National Information Technology Authority, Uganda.

Country Manager, Uganda
As Country Manager, you will be team leader and at the helm of our operations in Uganda.
We are looking for a visionary leader with exceptional management skills to drive our team to success. If you have a track record of leading high- performing teams and a passion for digital innovation, this role is for you.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Business Development
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand local market conditions, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives and drive growth in the country.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the company's presence.
Operational Oversight
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes.
Financial Management: Manage the country’s budget, financial planning, and performance, ensuring profitability and financial health.
Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Sales and Marketing
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
Marketing Initiatives: Lead marketing efforts to build brand awareness, attract customers, and enhance the company's market position.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Leadership and Team Management
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the country team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Performance Management: Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and implement improvement plans for employees.
Talent Acquisition: Recruit and retain top talent to build a high-performing team.
Reporting and Communication
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
Communication: Ensure effective communication within the country team and with the global headquarters, aligning local operations with the overall company strategy.
Risk Management
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks to the business and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Crisis Management: Lead crisis management efforts to address and resolve any unexpected challenges or issues that arise.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Education and Experience
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance, or a related field is typically required. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is often preferred.
Experience: Extensive experience in a senior management role, preferably with experience in the specific country or region. Experience in the relevant industry is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with the company’s goals.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Sales and Marketing Expertise: Proficiency in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Certifications and Training
Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications in management, business administration, or industry-specific qualifications can be beneficial.

Technical Proficiency
Business Software: Proficiency in business management software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
