Job Description
Credit Officers, particularly those in a graduate trainee program, have a range of responsibilities that help them understand and eventually master the intricacies of credit management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Credit Assessment and Analysis:
Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial statements and credit reports to determine the creditworthiness of potential clients.
Risk Assessment: Assessing risks associated with lending and determining the credit limits for new and existing customers.
Report Preparation: Preparing detailed credit reports and making recommendations based on their findings.
Loan Processing and Approval:
Application Review: Reviewing loan applications and ensuring all required documentation is complete.
Credit Scoring: Utilizing credit scoring systems to assess applications.
Approval Process: Assisting in the loan approval process and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Customer Interaction:
Client Meetings: Meeting with clients to discuss their financial needs and providing guidance on suitable credit products.
Negotiations: Negotiating terms and conditions of loans with clients.
Support: Providing ongoing support and advice to clients regarding their credit and financial health.
Compliance and Documentation:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all credit activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate and thorough records of all credit-related transactions and correspondence.
Portfolio Management:
Monitoring: Monitoring the performance of the credit portfolio and identifying potential risks.
Reporting: Preparing regular reports on the status of the credit portfolio for senior management.
Collections: Assisting in the management of overdue accounts and implementing strategies for collections.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, marketing, Education, or a related field.
Should have graduated between 2020 to date
