About the Organization
CNOOC International is one of the largest oil and gas companies in Uganda's energy sector and owns one-third interests in each of Exploration Areas (EA) EA1/1A, EA2 and Kingfisher. Our partners are Total E&P Uganda (33.3%) and Tullow Oil (33.3%). CNOOC International operates the Kingfisher production license.
These blocks, located in the Lake Albert Rift Basin, are in one of the most promising basins for oil and gas resources in Africa.
In 2016, development and production licenses for eight oil fields in the EA 1 and EA 2 blocks were issued by the government. In 2017, the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the blocks was initiated and the intergovernmental agreement for an oil pipeline was signed and the FEED was completed.
CNOOC International also completed the FEED for ground construction and drilling on block EA 3A in 2017.

Job Description
CNOOC Enertech International (U) Limited is a subcontractor to one of the upstream oil and gas companies in Uganda. It provides exploration, drilling engineering, logging, underground special operations, petroleum engineering construction and other services to the oil and gas sector. The Company is making the following recruitment of Ugandan nationals in the stated positions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Daily maintenance, inspection and repair of well control emergency equipment.
Understand the working principle of fire pump and cutting equipment and operate well control emergency rescue equipment according to order.
Be able to read equipment design drawings, and disassemble/install equipment according to equipment drawings.
Analyze equipment failure and maintain normal operation of equipment.
In case of blowout, implement well control emergency rescue.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or above with a major in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or the related
At least 5 years of experience In well control emergency rescue.
International well control certificate for IADC
H2S protection training certificate for petroleum site operation
Safety & survival certificate for petroleum site operation or other similar certificates.
With more than 5 years of well control emergency rescue experience.
Deep understanding of well control emergency operation.
Be familiar with a variety of well control emergency equipment such as fire pump, area gas monitor, thermal Imager etc.
