Job Description
True North Consult Ltd is a boutique HR Consultancy Firm offering Outsourced Manpower services, HR Advisory and Executive search & selection services to selected clients across East Africa.
We are searching for competent professionals to assign to our client to work on the Tilenga Project.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Design
Feasibility Studies: Conducting feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the suitability of projects.
Design Development: Collaborating with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to develop detailed design plans and specifications.
Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Preparing project budgets and cost estimates, ensuring financial feasibility.
Project Management
Scheduling: Creating detailed project schedules, setting timelines, and milestones.
Resource Allocation: Determining and managing the resources required, including materials, equipment, and labor.
Supervision and Oversight: Supervising construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Coordination and Communication
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with clients, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Permits and Approvals: Coordinating with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Quality Control and Assurance
Quality Standards: Implementing quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
Inspections: Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety protocols.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Degree: A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications may be advantageous.
Professional Experience
Relevant Experience: Several years of experience in infrastructure or construction project management, with a focus on enabling infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills
Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
Project Management Tools: Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
Technical Software: Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
Project Management Skills
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Communication Skills
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Negotiation and Persuasion: Ability to negotiate and manage contracts, as well as persuade and influence others.
