Job Description
The EYDCD program, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, aims to empower young men and women in disadvantaged communities in Uganda through technical skills, capacity building for entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities. CRVPF will partner with 200 Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to establish savings groups and cooperatives, reaching 200,000 youths aged 15-35 in Refugee Settlements, Host Communities, and Slums.

Location: Kampala, Uganda with occasional travel
Reports to: Program Coordinator-EYDCD
Supervises: None
Other Regular Relationships: Program Coordinator; Program Officers; Finance, HR and Administration Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management
Maintain accurate and timely EYDCD program financial documentation.
Report on contract commitments, disbursements, and cash flow projections.
Maintain proper filing systems for partner reports, grant agreements, and communication.
Budget Monitoring
Conduct budget checks during application reviews.
Monitor EYDCD budget at program and partner levels.
Review and amend budgets during partner project implementation.
Compliance
Ensure EYDCD financials comply with partner requirements and international standards.
Provide input into CRVPF finance planning processes.
Assist in sourcing external support for the EYDCD program including consultancies.
Due Diligence
Guide partners through financial due diligence and field monitoring.
Financial Reporting
Review partner EYDCD finance reports and ensure alignment with source documents.
Prepare funds requests and quarterly reports for donors.
Support and Advisory
Provide financial management guidance to EYDCD partners.
Advise the program team on financial matters and support learning and evaluation activities.
Other Duties
Represent the EYDCD program at partner engagements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
Accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICA, CMA, or similar.
Experience
Minimum 3 years in financial roles within a nonprofit.
Experience in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
Previous work with microfinance and youth inclusion programs.
Skills
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office, especially Excel.
Knowledge of Financial Internal Controls Management.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
