Job Description
Tranzact Platform Ltd – is licenced as a Payment Service Operator (license No. PSO 28/24) and a Payment Service Provider (license No. PSP 21/24) by the Bank of Uganda, under the National Payment Systems Act 2020. The company is also registered and certified by National Information Technology Authority, Uganda.

Head, Partnerships

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Development
Partnership Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic plan for partnerships that align with the organization’s overall business goals.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential partners and opportunities for collaboration.
Goal Setting: Establish clear objectives and KPIs for partnership initiatives.
Partnership Management
Partner Identification: Identify and evaluate potential partners based on strategic fit, market potential, and mutual benefits.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations with potential partners to establish terms of collaboration and formalize partnership agreements.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and mutual benefit.
Execution and Coordination
Project Management: Oversee the implementation of partnership agreements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and legal, to coordinate partnership activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Program Management: Develop and manage partnership programs, ensuring they meet objectives and deliver value to both parties.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of partnerships against established KPIs and metrics.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on partnership activities, outcomes, and performance to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and optimize partnership strategies and processes based on performance data and feedback.
Brand Representation and Advocacy
Brand Alignment: Ensure that partnerships align with and enhance the organization’s brand and reputation.
Public Speaking: Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities.
Advocacy: Advocate for the organization’s interests and negotiate favorable terms in partnership discussions.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Education and Experience
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is typically required. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is often preferred.
Experience: Extensive experience in partnership development, business development, or strategic alliances, with a proven track record of establishing and managing successful partnerships.
Skills and Competencies
Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute partnership strategies that align with business goals.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and build mutually beneficial agreements.
Relationship Management: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with partners.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
Project Management: Proficiency in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess opportunities, evaluate performance, and make data-driven decisions.
Problem-Solving Skills: Effective problem-solving abilities to address challenges and obstacles in partnership initiatives.
Certifications and Training
Professional Certifications: Certifications in business development, strategic partnerships, or related fields can be beneficial (e.g., Strategic Partnership Management Certificate).
Relevant Training: Ongoing training in negotiation, project management, and industry-specific knowledge is advantageous.
Technical Proficiency
CRM Software: Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Salesforce) to manage partnership activities and track performance.
Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) to oversee partnership projects.
