Job Description
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client TOTALENERGIES, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced IA Precom Supervisor Piping to work in Uganda.
Direction : Tilenga Project
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of construction activities.
Control of the contractor during construction activities.
Check, in accordance with needs, the preparation, issue and implementation by Construction Contractors of Construction, Engineering documents including method statements, drawings, planning back-up procedures if necessary.
Participate in technical reviews as required.
Ensure that approved AFC documents are used by construction teams.
Ensure that all risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor.
Ensure that the quality of the piping erection work (other than weld acceptance) performed on site by the contractor and subcontractors complies with contract requirements.
Ensure that all risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor.
Ensure that, for his discipline and area, the quality assurance record books are properly documented and maintained by the contractor.
Assess any requests by the contractor to deviate from quality control procedures or requirements and to make appropriate recommendation to the Pipeline Spread Senior Superintendent.
Review the ICAPS status index related to his discipline in collaboration with his construction team and commissioning team including ICAPS coordinator.
Verify the check and test sheet are properly populated into ICAPS, perform gap analysis between MDR mechanical completion system and the Company’s mechanical completion system ICAPS to highlight any deviation to the GS EP EXP 101,103 and 105 as per contract.
Collaborate and challenge contractor in relation to test pack, line walk, hydrotest, reinstatement and flange management in line GS EP EXP 101,103 and 105.
According to the sub-system delivery skyline, you ensure adequate execution to meet mechanical completion objectives in order to avoid any delay or impact on the Ready for commissioning skyline.
Highlight to Industrial Area superintendent any potential inconsistencies between pre-commissioning and commissioning sequences.
Compliance with the HSE instructions, rules and procedures in force for compliance with the HSE contractual clauses and other documents governing ties with the contractors
Ensure the protection of the environment and the monitoring of Project environmental performances.
Report on any problem encountered in his discipline to the IA Superintendent.
Participate in weekly, monthly and ad-hoc meetings as required.
Prepare the daily, weekly report in his discipline.
Prepare the final documentation in his discipline.
Carry out any other task that may be assigned to him/her.
Act on behalf of the IA Superintendent in his/her absence if required.
Organize efficient communication with his back-to-back replacement.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
HNC or equivalent in mechanical or related discipline
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industry specifically infrastructure/construction projects, with thorough knowledge on various safety regulations, standards, procedures etc. Having previous HSE supervisory experience is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Piping Pre-commissioning activities.
Knowledge of Total group standards and/or previous experience with other major IOC’s in large oil and gas construction projects.
Good presentation skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in the implementation of behavioral safety systems and analyzing the data produced. Understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems
Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work on their own initiative and proactively interact with discipline teams to obtain information.
Must be able to react quickly and decisively to constantly changing demands and circumstances and be able to identify, analyze & solve problems within the scope of the role.
Ability and willingness to effectively and robustly challenge the views of contractors and internal contacts.
Valid Medical Certificate which complies with company Standards.
