Job Description
Receiving new and printing out the new bills of lading and keenly looking through their documents i.e., parking list, commercial invoice and proforma invoice to make sure details correspond with those on the bill of lading
Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving new and printing out the new bills of lading and keenly looking through their documents i.e., parking list, commercial invoice and proforma invoice to make sure details correspond with those on the bill of lading
Opening up files for the new bills of lading and Tracking the ETA.
Writing authority letters for bills of PIL, MSC, HAPAG, GSL, CMA, EMC
Following up on the import’s records for both captured and pending consignments.
Receiving and printing entries and release orders for bills from declarants.
Updating the system with the new bills, entries and release orders and loading out files for cargo on transit.
Maintain good communication and collaboration with customers, suppliers, logistics service providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth information flow.
Provide customers with timely updates on the progress of goods transportation and customs clearance
Address various issues that arise during transportation, such as cargo damage, delays, or loss.
Resolve customer complaints and inquiries, providing satisfactory solutions.
Calculate various costs incurred during the export process, including freight, customs clearance fees, insurance, etc.
Record and organize data related to imports operations, preparing regular business reports.
Analyze business data and propose improvement suggestions to enhance work efficiency.
Understand and comply with international trade laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Stay informed of the latest Imports business policies and regulations to ensure compliant business operations.
Proper record management.
Complete other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Transport and Logistics Management, procurement and logistics and any other related field.
1-3 years of experience in imports operations, familiar with international trade processes and related documentation.
Proficient in office software and relevant business management systems.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, responsible, and reliable.
Ability to solve problems and adapt to changes, capable of working under pressure.
