Job Description
The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board ("The Board") was established in 2016 under the Lotteries and Gaming Act 2016 with a mandate to supervise and regulate the establishment, management and operations of the lotteries, gaming, betting and casinos in Uganda, and to protect the citizens from the adverse effects of gaming and betting in Uganda.

Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory records of all products and materials.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Stock Audits:
Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory counts.
Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records, investigating and resolving any issues.
Order Management:
Manage the ordering and replenishment of stock based on demand forecasts and historical data.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Inventory Planning:
Develop and implement inventory management strategies, including reordering processes, lead times, and safety stock levels.
Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and market demand to forecast inventory needs.
Inventory Reporting
Generate and analyze inventory reports, including stock levels, turnover rates, and obsolete inventory.
Provide regular updates to management on inventory status and performance metrics.
Warehouse Management:
Oversee the organization and storage of inventory in warehouses or storage facilities.
Ensure that storage conditions meet product requirements (e.g., temperature, humidity).
Supplier Relations:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase orders, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
Inventory Optimization:
Identify opportunities for improving inventory management processes and systems.
Implement best practices and technologies to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Team Coordination:
Work closely with procurement, sales, and operations teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
Provide guidance and support to warehouse staff and other team members involved in inventory management.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)) are advantageous.
Experience:
Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or a related role.
Experience with inventory management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Technical Skills:
