Carry out a wide range of laboratory investigation and present results to clinicians.

Keep reagents at required temperature, properly dispose of any expired reagents, and inform the supervisor of the expired reagents.

Establish laboratory chemical needs, requisition and monitor proper use of laboratory supplies to ensure value for money.

Follow established National Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in ensuring that safety measures are strictly followed and ensure safe disposal of laboratory waste.

Ensure that laboratory equipment is occasionally serviced by calibrating and repairing them to avoid errors.

Adhere to the laboratory code of conduct (keep confidentiality).

Promote good Laboratory practice, including quality control measures.

Maintain the general cleanliness of the Laboratory.

Any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
