About the Organization
Job Description
Receive and log-in samples according to the testing schedule and carry out the necessary analytical tests according to written procedures.
Perform batch grade PE products, shipment analysis and CTO sample!
Conduct weekly inspection of all equipment and inform Senior Laboratory testers whenever a problem is identified with the equipment.
Perform scheduled quality checks or whenever required.
Undertake minor trouble-shooting activities under the direction of the Senior Laboratory testers to always ensure equipment’s prime working condition.
Duties and Responsibilities
Result Entry
Enter test results in LIMS and inform the production team immediately on non-conforming or abnormal results.
Assist the Senior Laboratory testers to mitigate and resolve the identified out of control process ensuring control of non-conforming Laboratory work
Proficiency Testing
Assist the Senior Laboratory testers in ensuring participation of all qualified Laboratory personnel in proficiency testing programs in an impartial manner
Reporting
Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Report all results accurately and on time
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.  Follow and assist with relevant policies, processes, procedures, and instructions of Lab group so that work is in a controlled and consistent manner
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Quality Management System
Follow QMS requirements and support to stay in compliance and maintain certificate
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Education:
A minimum of an associate degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is often preferred and can be an advantage for career advancement.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments, such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, microscopes, and pH meters.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other data management software.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test results and identify trends.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in testing and data recording.
Communication Skills:
Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and communicate findings clearly.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial)
Certified Laboratory Technician (CLT) or similar certification from a recognized professional organization.
Specialized certifications relevant to the industry or field of work (e.g., Certified Environmental Laboratory Analyst, Medical Laboratory Technician certification).
Experience
Relevant laboratory experience, either through internships, co-op programs, or entry-level positions.
Experience in the specific industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, environmental science) can be advantageous.
