Job Description
Responsible for managing the C-lab’s Accounting and Reporting function to provide accurate and timely financial information to the Business Unit & Group Finance team, and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Unit are adequately met.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation and tracking of the C-lab annual strategy and budget.
Oversee the monthly financial close process, including finalization of actuals, month-on-month analytical review, and delivery of results to Group Financial team.
Analyse and review balance sheet reconciliations performed with both internal and external parties.
Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting policies and processes including review of journal requests, supporting month-end activities and completing necessary checks and reconciliations to ensuring the accuracy of financial information (proactively engage Group Accounting Policy as required).
Oversee the inventory management process which includes ordering, issuing and overall stock management within the premises.
Performing regular market assessments and surveys to enable in the assessment of C-lab’s market positioning.
Oversee the supplier management process in line with the procurement policy.
Embed simplification, standardization and elimination of financial control activities/processes where appropriate.
Ensure mitigations for any adverse audit findings are implemented.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
• A business degree or any other relevant degree
Fully qualified (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or in the advanced stages of completion.
Minimum 4 years of working experience
Extensive experience in healthcare, retail or manufacturing industry
Experience and knowledge in Ugandan tax laws
Business acumen coupled with financial prudence
Ability to multi-task effectively and drive performance in a complex environment
Experience with one of the Big 4 firms would be an added advantage
