About the Organization

Job Description

A Manager in Deal Advisory plays a crucial role in advising clients on transactions such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, restructurings, and other strategic financial deals. This position requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, and client relationship management.

Duties and Responsibilities

Transaction Advisory:

  • Deal Structuring: Assist clients in structuring deals to optimize financial outcomes, considering tax implications, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives.

  • Valuation Analysis: Conduct comprehensive valuation analyses using various methodologies (e.g., DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) to determine the fair value of assets or businesses.

  • Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate financial, operational, and commercial due diligence processes to identify potential risks and opportunities in target companies.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and review complex financial models to assess the financial impact of transactions and support decision-making.


Strategic Advisory:

  • Market Analysis: Perform industry and market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets for clients.

  • Strategic Planning: Advise clients on strategic options, including growth strategies, market entry, and exit strategies.

  • Integration Planning: Develop post-merger integration plans to ensure a smooth transition and realization of synergies.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Client Engagement: Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the deal process.

  • Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and recommendations to clients, including senior executives and board members.

  • Trust Building: Build and maintain trust with clients by providing expert advice, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating a deep understanding of their business needs.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage deal advisory projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative working environment, coordinating with other departments and external advisors as needed.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a business-related field.

  • A master's degree or professional in business or strategic management is an added advantage.

  • CPA, ACCA, CFA, or any other relevant professional qualification.

  • At least 7 years of work experience within a busy environment

  • An in-depth understanding of management functions (i.e., people, systems, and operations, etc.)
