Job Description
True North Consult Ltd is a boutique HR Consultancy Firm offering Outsourced Manpower services, HR Advisory and Executive search & selection services to selected clients across East Africa
We are sourcing for suitably qualified professionals to assign to our Client to fill the job of Mechanic Hydraulic Power.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repair
Inspection: Conducting regular inspections of hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and hoses, to identify wear, damage, or potential issues.
Repair: Repairing or replacing defective hydraulic components and parts, such as seals, filters, and fittings.
Preventive Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance tasks, including fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication, to ensure optimal system performance.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
Diagnostics: Diagnosing hydraulic system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and multimeters.
Problem Identification: Identifying and resolving issues related to hydraulic leaks, pressure loss, and other system inefficiencies.
System Installation and Assembly
Installation: Installing new hydraulic systems and components on machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
Assembly: Assembling hydraulic components and systems according to technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Testing and Calibration
System Testing: Testing hydraulic systems for functionality and efficiency after repairs or installations.
Calibration: Calibrating hydraulic components and systems to meet manufacturer specifications and performance standards.
Documentation and Reporting
Service Records: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, including parts used and work performed.
Reporting: Preparing detailed reports on equipment condition, issues identified, and work completed.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional technical training or certification in hydraulic systems, mechanical engineering, or a related field is highly beneficial.
Professional Experience
Experience: Several years of experience working with hydraulic systems, including maintenance, repair, and diagnostics. Experience in specific industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing) may be advantageous.
Technical Skills
Hydraulic Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and components, including pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
Diagnostic Tools: Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment used to test and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment.
Soft Skills
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hydraulic system issues.
Communication: Good communication skills for interacting with clients, operators, and team members.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of hydraulic systems.
