Job Description
The duties of a Finance Manager are crucial for the financial health and strategic planning of an organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Stay updated on changes in financial legislation and implement necessary changes.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of reports.
Investment Management:
Oversee the organization’s investment portfolio and develop strategies to maximize returns.
Conduct investment analysis and provide recommendations.
Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Work with other departments to provide financial support and guidance.
Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and other key stakeholders.
Strategic Support:
Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis.
Participate in business development activities and assess the financial viability of new projects.
Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial goals and plans.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Master's degree in monitoring and evaluation or its equivalent. 8 years of relevant experience Experience designing implementing, and managing M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
Experience developing M&E systems.
Experience using data analysis packages and database management systems. Strong interpersonal skills Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with USAID-funded programme is an added advantage.
