Job Description
CSBAG is seeking a highly experienced and skilled HR Advisor to provide strategic HR support to our organization. As a Non-Resident HR Advisor, you will work remotely to provide expert guidance on HR-related matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
HR Policy Development and Implementation:
Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
Advise on the implementation of HR policies and ensure that they are communicated effectively to staff.
Recruitment and Staffing:
Assist in the development of job descriptions and person specifications.
Provide guidance on recruitment strategies, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes.
Support onboarding processes to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the organization.
Employee Relations:
Advise on handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Support the development of a positive organizational culture and employee engagement initiatives.
Performance Management:
Guide the implementation of performance management systems, including setting performance standards, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback.
Advise on the development of employee development and training programs.
Compliance and Legal Advice:
Ensure the organization complies with labor laws and regulations.
Provide guidance on employment law issues, including contracts, terminations, and workplace safety.
Compensation and Benefits:
Advise on compensation strategies, including salary structures, benefits packages, and incentive programs.
Conduct market research to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
HR Data Management:
Assist in the management of HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Provide insights and analysis of HR metrics to inform decision-making.
Remote Support and Communication:
Use digital tools and platforms to provide HR support remotely.
Maintain regular communication with management and employees through virtual meetings, emails, and phone calls.
Training and Development:
Design and deliver training programs on various HR topics, such as compliance, leadership development, and soft skills.
Support career development planning and succession planning initiatives.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Educational Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) can be advantageous.
Experience:
Several years of experience in HR roles, with a broad understanding of various HR functions.
Experience in advising or consulting, particularly in a remote capacity, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HR Practices:
In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
Familiarity with HR technology and systems for managing remote HR processes.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex HR issues clearly and effectively to a diverse audience.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills to assess HR issues and develop effective solutions.
