Job Description
In summary, an Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization's operations run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively. This involves a combination of strategic planning, team leadership, financial management, and continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals and deliver high-quality products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Technology and Innovation
Technology Integration: Implement and manage technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Innovation: Encourage and support innovation within the operations team to drive continuous improvement.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to monitor operational performance and make informed decisions.
Reporting and Performance Metrics
Operational Reporting: Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for senior management.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Benchmarking: Compare operational performance against industry benchmarks and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Vendor and Supplier Management
Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Supply Chain Optimization: Optimize the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Ezee or Macros).
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Flexible, adaptable, with a positive and proactive attitude
