Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital Kalongo is a PNFP located in Agago, Northern Uganda. The Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer and hereby invites suitably qualified applicants for job opening for recruitment on replacement basis as herein;
Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Maintain and update inventory records.
Order and stock medications and other pharmacy supplies.
Check for expired medications and remove them from inventory.
Administrative Tasks:
Process insurance claims and handle billing transactions.
Maintain accurate patient records and prescription files.
Assist in the management of pharmacy workflow and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing the pharmacy practice.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
Participate in audits and inspections.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited pharmacy technician training program is often required or preferred.
Certification and Licensure:
Certification by a recognized body, such as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), is often required.
State licensure or registration as a pharmacy technician, where applicable.
Experience:
Prior experience in a pharmacy setting, while not always required, is highly valued.
On-the-job training provided by employers can also be beneficial.
