Job Description

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of programs at Zimba Women. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. The Project Coordinator will assist in managing timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
The ideal applicant should possess a abundance of understanding in digital and financial literacy and be able to use it to improve program outcomes, Zimba Women's general business strategy, and the company's growth
The ideal applicant should also be confident using data to guide choices and have leadership experience in a diverse work environment. They must also be highly dedicated to supporting new entrepreneurs, particularly women. They also need to be highly organized and have a sharp eye for potential collaborative opportunities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Coordinate project resources and schedules.

  • Monitor project progress and prepare status reports.

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance.

  • Facilitate team meetings and track action items.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

  • Degree in Relevant Field: A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, project management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications can be advantageous.

  • Additional Certifications: Certifications in project management, such as CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP (Project Management Professional), can be beneficial.


Experience:

  • Relevant Work Experience: Some experience in project coordination, project management, or a related field is typically required. Internships or entry-level positions in project support roles can be helpful.

  • Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in the specific industry related to the projects being coordinated (e.g., IT, construction, healthcare) can be a plus.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the project are monitored and controlled.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) and other relevant tools (e.g., MS Office Suite).

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions quickly.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project data, generate reports, and provide insights to inform project decisions.
