Job Description
SNV is identifying potential candidates for the Project Manager Farmer Institutions and Network Enhancement (FINE-Pro) project in Uganda, currently in the proposal stage. Our goal is to identify potential candidates by June 7th. We are currently exploring a pool of candidates from which we will select those best suited for further consideration.
Are you a strong Project Manager with an experience in leading large international projects in agri-productivity, agri-financing, food security and nutrition in Uganda and/or East Africa? We are looking out for you for the role of Project Lead for a project in Uganda that is focusing on empowering smallholder farmers to increase productivity, reduce losses, improve market access, create jobs and enhance livelihoods.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project: FINE-Pro (Farmer Institutions and Network Enhancement Project)
Location: Probably Jinja office in Uganda
Start Date: Expected by year-end (contingent to donor funding)
Duration: Not yet confirmed
Maximum budget for the program is total 10 million euro for 5 years. Please be aware that for unspecified
reasons there is a possibility that the program will ultimately not be awarded.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Either national or foreign candidates
Essential: 10+ years of experience, including a minimum of two large international programs
Preferred: Experience in East Africa, preferably with Dutch Embassy in Uganda (EKN) and/or experience with SNV
Academic background: Open to candidates with extensive experience, regardless of their academic background
