Duties and Responsibilities
Developing QA Policies and Procedures:
Create and implement QA policies, processes, and procedures to ensure product quality.
Define quality standards and criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Establish quality benchmarks and metrics for performance evaluation.
Quality Planning:
Develop quality plans that specify the standards, resources, and activities required for achieving quality objectives.
Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
Ensure quality considerations are integrated into the project planning process.
Quality Control and Inspection:
Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, components, and finished products.
Implement control measures to detect and address defects at various stages of production.
Use statistical tools and techniques to monitor and analyze quality data.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement within existing processes and systems.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
Track the effectiveness of improvements and make adjustments as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test results, and corrective actions.
Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, trends, and non-conformance issues.
Ensure documentation is compliant with regulatory and industry standards.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to QA procedures and identify areas for improvement.
Facilitate external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and certification organizations.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Advanced certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma certification are preferred.
Experience:
Relevant work experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field, typically 3-5 years.
Experience in industries such as manufacturing, software development, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and corrective action procedures.
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP).
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills to interpret quality data and identify trends.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ability to use quality management software and data analysis tools.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Attention to Detail:
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inspections and documentation.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and maintaining thorough records.
Knowledge of Standards and Regulations:
Thorough understanding of industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements.
Ability to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.
Leadership and Teamwork:
Strong leadership skills to manage and develop the QA team.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve quality objectives.
