Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery of Goods:

Pick up items from various locations and deliver them to specified addresses.
Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining the quality and integrity of the items.

Route Planning:

Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
Use GPS devices or delivery apps to navigate and optimize delivery routes.

Customer Interaction:

Communicate politely and effectively with customers during pick-up and delivery.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of delivery, recipient details, and any delivery issues.
Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during delivery to the appropriate personnel.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Ensure the delivery vehicle (bike, scooter, or car) is in good working condition.
Perform regular maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues immediately.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving.
Follow company safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.

Handling Payments:

Collect payments from customers if required, including handling cash transactions.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of payments received and return any collected money to the company.

Package Handling:

Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
Ensure that all items are securely packed and protected during delivery.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

Educational Qualifications:

Typically, no formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent can be beneficial.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential for managing delivery records and communication.

Driver’s License:

A valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle used (motorcycle, scooter, or car).
Clean driving record with no significant traffic violations.

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar delivery or courier role can be advantageous but is not always required.
Familiarity with the local area and roads can improve efficiency.

Navigation Skills:

Proficiency in using GPS devices, maps, and delivery apps to navigate routes.
Ability to plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel.

Physical Fitness:

Good physical condition to handle long hours of driving and lifting packages.
Stamina to cope with the demands of the job, especially in adverse weather conditions.

Customer Service Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers professionally.
Ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.

Time Management:
