Job Description
A Sales Representative is responsible for selling a company's products or services to customers, either directly or through a variety of sales channels. This role typically involves a combination of customer interaction, market research, product promotion, and administrative tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Interaction
Prospecting: Identifying and qualifying potential customers through research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Needs Assessment: Understanding customer needs and preferences to recommend suitable products or services.
Product Presentation: Demonstrating products or services, highlighting features, benefits, and value propositions.
Negotiation: Discussing pricing, terms, and conditions, and negotiating to close sales deals.
Customer Support: Providing post-sale support, handling complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Market Research and Analysis
Market Trends: Keeping abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
Customer Feedback: Gathering feedback from customers to understand their experiences and improve offerings.
Sales Strategies: Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet sales targets.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and colleagues.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms and close deals effectively.
Customer Service Orientation: Strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship building.
Sales and Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of sales techniques, marketing strategies, and market dynamics.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools.
