Job Description

A Sales Representative is responsible for selling a company's products or services to customers, either directly or through a variety of sales channels. This role typically involves a combination of customer interaction, market research, product promotion, and administrative tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Interaction

  • Prospecting: Identifying and qualifying potential customers through research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.

  • Needs Assessment: Understanding customer needs and preferences to recommend suitable products or services.

  • Product Presentation: Demonstrating products or services, highlighting features, benefits, and value propositions.

  • Negotiation: Discussing pricing, terms, and conditions, and negotiating to close sales deals.

  • Customer Support: Providing post-sale support, handling complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Market Trends: Keeping abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.

  • Customer Feedback: Gathering feedback from customers to understand their experiences and improve offerings.

  • Sales Strategies: Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet sales targets.
