Job Description
The job holder is responsible for leading the growth of liabilities and assets. as per set targets and manage the corporate relationships within the agreed parameters, be accountable for leading the banks eco system plus originating and managing the relationships with corporate clients and Institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Business Development
Strategy Development: Formulate and implement strategies for the corporate banking segment to achieve business goals and expand market share.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the corporate banking sector.
Business Growth: Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including developing products and services tailored to corporate clients.
Client Relationship Management
Client Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new corporate clients and deepen relationships with existing clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and loyalty.
Account Management: Oversee the management of key corporate accounts, ensuring clients receive tailored financial solutions and exceptional service.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients regularly to understand their needs, challenges, and business objectives, providing strategic financial advice and solutions.
Risk Management
Credit Risk Assessment: Oversee the assessment and approval of credit facilities for corporate clients, ensuring compliance with the institution’s credit policies and risk appetite.
Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of the corporate banking portfolio, identifying potential risks and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
Compliance: Ensure all corporate banking activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
Leadership and Team Management
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the corporate banking team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Talent Development: Identify and nurture talent within the team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Performance Management: Set performance targets for the team and regularly review their progress, providing feedback and support to achieve business goals.
Product and Service Development
Product Innovation: Collaborate with product development teams to design and introduce new financial products and services that meet the evolving needs of corporate clients.
Service Enhancement: Continuously improve service delivery processes to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
Financial and Operational Management
Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the corporate banking segment, ensuring efficient use of resources and achievement of financial targets.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, analyzing results and making data-driven decisions to improve performance.
Operational Efficiency: Streamline operations and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the corporate banking segment.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognized University added poster's degree in a Business-related field will be an advantage
At least 10-15 years of relevant banking experience, preferably with at least 5 years at a senior managerial position in corporate banking. Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and practices ng to Corporate Banking products. self-motivation and self-management.
Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills.
Analytical business and investment appraisal Skills.
Business Development Skills, Customer service skills, Relationship/ People Management skills, Negotiation Skills, Leadership skills, Marketing. Selling and Strong Credit analysis skills.
