The National Water and Sewerage Corporation is a water supply and sanitation company in Uganda. It is wholly owned by the government of Uganda.
Job Description
Responsible for cost effective and proactive acquisition, installation, deployment, management and administration of the Corporation’s computer systems and information systems in order to ensure compliance with the IT policies, maximum system availability, adequate IT security and business continuity provisions as well as effective user support.

Duties and Responsibilities
Enforce NWSC IT policies.
Proactive acquisition, installation and maintenance of the NWSC’s software and information systems.
Well maintained and supported Management Information Systems.
Standardization of the NWSC’s management Information Systems.
Effective applications deployment and user training in all applications and information systems in the entire NWSC.
Effective and continuous measures to protect data and prevent data loss at any time.
Functioning Disaster Recovery and effective Business Continuity Plans.
Up to date and legal licenses for all outsourced Corporation applications and software.
Effective procurement of all externally acquired systems.
Carry out any other tasks assigned by Management

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in: Information Technology / Computer Science or related field
Master’s degree in: Information Technology / Business Administration / Project Management / or related field.
CCNA Certification
Preferred Additional Qualifications o IT Professional Qualification / Certification / Affiliation.
Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years of postgraduate experience in IT services – IT governance or applications development or systems administration or IT security management or infrastructure or networks.
A minimum of five (05) years of postgraduate qualification experience in IT systems administration and/or database management.
Age Limit: 35 to 45 years of age
Five years working with a large organization/firm is a must.
