Job Description
BRAC Uganda Bank Limited launched on 25 April 2019 and attained its current status as a Tier II Credit institution following a successful background as the leading Microfinances services provider in Uganda. The bank operates 32 regulated branches and 131 satellite offices covering 84 districts in Uganda targeting Micro, Small. and Medium Entrepreneurs. BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd promotes financial inclusion by extending financial services to unserved and underserved populations especially women and youth as well as people living in poverty in rural areas. The Bank is operationally and financially self-sustaining with over 231,000 active customers and a loan book in excess of Ushs.175 billion.
Job Summary: The Senior Product and Projects Officer will coordinate and bridge the gap between product development and project execution within the bank
Duties and Responsibilities
Track and monitor product performance, user adoption, and customer feedback post launch.
Monitor the performance of new products and ensuring that the project execution is within the timelines.
Prepare periodic product and project reports (weekly, monthly and quarterly reports)
Updating and maintaining product and project records and documentation i.e Ensure proper documentation for all relevant project milestones activity reports, case studies etc.
Provide support to other teams as needed, leveraging knowledge of product features, project timelines and deliverables.
Identify risks and come up with a risk mitigation plan to ensure that the project stays on course.
Stakeholder management, especially the internal stakeholder i.e staff etc.
Coordinate the implementation of product and project activities as per project’s workplan.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any related field.
Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and planning is an added advantage.
At least two-three years of experience in product development and project management
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Proven customer service skills in dealing with internal and external customers.
Exceptional written communication and presentation skills; ability to write ad-hoc and formal reports.
Teamwork-Work collaboratively; find common ground and solve problems for the good of all and can represent his/her own interest and yet be fair to the team.
Problem solving-Make decisions in a timely manner, use a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
Good understanding of banking policies and procedures.
Knowledge of People Management principles and practices.
Ability to operate under tight deadlines.
