Job Description
The Senior Subcontracts Engineer manages high Risk High Value Subcontracts from project award to project completion.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare Subcontract deliverables include Project Procedures
Prepare RFQ Packages, development of Commercial Bid Analysis (CBE) and coordination of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)
Assist Subcontract Manager /Sr. Subcontract Specialist to award contract
Good knowledge of post-award subcontract management & execution
Experience in Change Management and management of Unit Rate based Subcontracts progress evaluation review & payment certification
Manages independently large value high Risk subcontracts
Works as part of project team and reports to Subcontracts Manager for the project
Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors)
Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
BSc Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or similar professional qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Minimum 10+ years of total experience in Subcontract administration activities on EPC projects in the Oil and Gas industry
Ability to prepare negotiation strategies / techniques and participate / lead negotiations
Proficiency in computer skills and Subcontract management software
Proven communication skills verbal, written and presenting
Stable job history and ability to work in team environment
Previous EPC experience
