Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that CO2 produced meets quality standards and specifications.
Perform routine sampling and analysis of CO2 products.
Address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintenance Coordination:
Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Report equipment malfunctions and ensure timely repairs.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of plant operations, process parameters, and production data.
Prepare shift reports and communicate relevant information to the next shift and plant management.
Document any incidents, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
Training and Development:
Train and mentor new operators and technicians.
Conduct regular training sessions on safety, operational procedures, and equipment handling.
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, chemicals, and spare parts.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and stock levels.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Technical diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Certification in CO2 plant operations or industrial gas production is advantageous.
Experience:
Relevant experience in CO2 production, industrial gas operations, or a similar field, typically 3-5 years.
Previous supervisory or managerial experience is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating and maintaining CO2 production and recovery equipment.
Knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Familiarity with quality assurance practices and safety regulations.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills to monitor process parameters and identify issues.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
Leadership abilities to supervise and motivate the operational team.
Attention to Detail:
High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate monitoring and recording of process parameters.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and maintaining thorough records.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
Capability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to respond to emergencies and urgent situations outside of regular working hours.
Knowledge of Standards and Regulations:
Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to CO2 production and industrial gas operations.
Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations.
