Job Description
Chemonics International is a leading international development consulting firm with experience strengthening pharmaceutical supply chain systems in more than 40 countries, including Uganda Chemomics seeks technical experts for an anticipated supply chain technical assistance activity in Uganda. The anticipated program will provide technical assistance services to improve operational excellence in the performance of countby supply chains and improve the availability of health commodities to meet the needs of the populations. Position locations are varied contingent upon contract award
The proposal is expected to strengthen supply chain systems for sustainability and operationalize supply chain strengthening to increase commodity availability in Uganda working closely with the government of Uganda (GoU)
The technical experts will tackle various challenges within the supply chain strengthening systems. The experts will prioritize improving technical support and assistance aimed to strengthen Uganda's health supply chain and pharmaceutical systems to ensure sustainable access to and appropriate use of safe, effective quality-assured, affordable health commodities. Technical experts will be based in Uganda. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Advanced degree in public health, supply chain, or relevant field
Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant technical experience in Uganda
Experience working with Ugandan stakeholders. including the Get
Experience working with donor-funded activities (including but not limited to USAID, UKAID, FCDO, FAQ.
WFP or other international organizations operating in the supply chain and health systems strengthening field)
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and exceptional oral and written communication skills
Fluency in English is required.
