Job Description

SGA Security Uganda Limited is one of the leading and most innovative organizations in the security industry. The company has realized the need to recruit a competent person in the following position to be based at its head office in Kampala.

Purpose of Position:
To maintain and manage all aspects of physical alarm systems and provide professional interface with all stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To manage and provide leadership role to the technical team.

  • Ensure proficient systems upgrade and integration at all times by staying informed about new technologies.

  • Provide training and support to the team at all times.

  • Develop workable departmental annual budget in line with set guidelines and internal controls at all levels.

  • Ensure business growth is achieved at 15% per annum on both financial gain and customer satisfaction.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

  • Minimum of five (5) years in a similar position with three (03) years at supervisory level

  • Demonstrable experience in CCTV installation, maintenance

Skills & Abilities

  • Exposure to low voltage cabling infrastructure and operating systems. is valuable

  • Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills.

  • A strong analytical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to make important decisions in a fast paced environment

  • Experience in managing teams.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure dynamic environment and take control of incidents.

  • Ability to organize and plan a demanding workload and work within tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Ability of writing procedures, drafting reports, preparing and reviewing business cases and compiling and adjusting duty rosters to meet short falls in staffing levels


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrable evidence of creative initiatives Ability to multitask and work long hours whenever required Collaborating and Teamwork Relationship Building Performance and Expertise Disaster recovery management

Minimum qualification

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.
