Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare drawing, Specification, BOM, datasheets and other engineering documents.
Supervision of construction and hookup activities for telecom equipment.
Perform test and commissioning as per functional test sheets and Site acceptance test.
Be the interface between site activities and engineering and project management team.
Review and markup block diagram, interconnection drawing and cabinet wiring diagram as per commissioning.
Prepare as built drawings and documentations.
Be familiar with Project procedures and national & international standards.
Develop knowledge in the technology and interfaces with other technical groups.
Attend short and long-term training programs provided by Contractor (abroad and in-country)
Assist the construction team during site works.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Ugandan Citizen holding a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications engineering and membership of a related Professional Institution or body.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas, transportation, telecommunication, or heavy industry projects. Engineers with 5 years or more of experience will be considered as Senior.
Knowledge of at least 2 systems below: PAGA, IP PABX, LAN/WAN, WIFI, Firewall, Radio systems, OTN, SDH/PDH, Master Clock, RADAR, AIS, CCTV, Access control System, intrusion detection system and telecom monitoring system.
Cisco or cybersecurity certification will be an added advantage.
Ability to travel abroad as and when required.
Good interpersonal and communications skills & Competency in written/oral communication.
Proficient in MS Office applications and autocad/visio.
