Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
Staff Management
Hiring, training, and supervising staff.
Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback.
Scheduling staff shifts and ensuring adequate coverage.
Budget Management
Managing the unit's budget.
Monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Ensuring financial efficiency without compromising patient care quality.
Compliance and Standards
Ensuring the unit complies with healthcare regulations and standards.
Conducting regular audits and inspections.
Keeping updated with changes in healthcare laws and regulations.
Clinical Duties
Patient Care
Overseeing patient care delivery to ensure high-quality standards.
Addressing patient and family concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Coordinating with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care plans.
Clinical Supervision
Supervising clinical staff to maintain best practices.
Ensuring proper documentation of patient care.
Monitoring patient outcomes and implementing improvements where necessary.
Quality Assurance
Implementing quality control measures.
Analyzing data to track performance indicators.
Developing strategies for improving patient care services.
Managerial Duties
Leadership
Leading the unit with a clear vision and strategy.
Motivating and mentoring staff.

Policy Development
Developing and updating unit policies and procedures.
Ensuring staff adherence to policies.
Reviewing and revising policies as needed based on regulatory changes and feedback.
Coordination
Facilitating communication between different departments and units.
Coordinating care transitions and discharge planning.
Organizing unit meetings and maintaining effective communication channels.
Strategic Duties
Planning
Developing long-term goals for the unit.
Aligning unit objectives with the organization’s strategic plan.
Participating in organizational planning and development.
Innovation
Identifying opportunities for technological advancements in patient care.
Encouraging continuous improvement and innovation in clinical practices.
Implementing new systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
Community Relations
Building relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
Representing the unit in community outreach programs.
Promoting the unit’s services and achievements.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Diploma or Degree in Agriculture or an equivalent qualification
Minimum 8 years of experience with proven expertise in poultry management and a strong understanding of the agricultural industry.
Oversee the daily operations of the poultry unit including feed management, health monitoring and environmental control systems.
Good knowledge of industry regulations and standards
