Duties and Responsibilities

System Monitoring and Control:

Monitor and control the operation of water treatment and CO2 recovery systems using DCS.
Adjust process parameters to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Respond to alarms and take corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.

Operation and Maintenance:

Operate pumps, valves, filters, and other equipment associated with water treatment and CO2 systems.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for complex repairs and scheduled maintenance activities.

Water Treatment Process Management:

Manage processes such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection.
Monitor water quality parameters like pH, turbidity, chlorine levels, and other relevant indicators.
Ensure treated water meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.

CO2 Recovery and Utilization:

Operate and monitor CO2 recovery systems, including compressors, absorbers, and storage units.
Adjust system settings to optimize CO2 capture and storage efficiency.
Ensure CO2 purity and quality meet specified standards.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and incidents.
Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies related to water and CO2 treatment.

Qualification, Experiences and Competencies

High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
Technical diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Training in water treatment operations, DCS, and CO2 recovery systems.

Experience:

Relevant experience in operating and maintaining water treatment and/or CO2 recovery systems, typically 3-5 years.
Experience with DCS technology and automated control systems.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using DCS for monitoring and controlling water and CO2 systems.
Knowledge of water treatment processes (coagulation, filtration, disinfection) and CO2 recovery techniques.
Ability to operate and maintain related equipment, including pumps, valves, compressors, and filters.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong analytical skills to monitor process parameters and identify issues.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.

Safety Awareness:

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and emergency response procedures.
