Location: Kampala (with occasional fieldwork across university campuses and client sites)
Employment Type: Graduate Traineeship (6 months – Full-time, with potential for permanent placement based on performance)
Start Date: Monday, 2nd June 2025
Job Summary
The Graduate Trainee – Sales and Marketing Representative will play a pivotal role in student recruitment, brand awareness, and lead generation for consultancy services. This hands-on position is designed for a motivated recent graduate eager to launch a career in marketing and business development. Outstanding performers may be considered for permanent employment after the traineeship period.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Student Enrollment & Retention
Contact former and prospective students to promote CPA(U), CTA, and the Tax Practitioners Course.
Follow up on new student leads generated from the website, social media, and field activities.
Explain course details, fees, and payment options to interested clients.
Coordinate referral programs and distribute rewards to successful referrals.
Assist in planning and executing campus drives, open days, and career talks.
2. Digital Marketing Support
Work with the digital team to launch and monitor ads on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Collect student testimonials and assist in content creation (photos, videos).
Respond to online inquiries through WhatsApp, Facebook, and email.
Promote self-paced/on-demand courses on student forums and WhatsApp groups.
Track leads generated through campaigns and prepare weekly reports.
3. Consultancy Services Promotion
Call and follow up with businesses about services such as QuickBooks, Tally, bookkeeping, and tax advisory.
Support the preparation and submission of proposals and bids.
Arrange and attend client demos or meetings with the consultancy team.
Maintain a CRM database of prospective and current clients.
4. Administrative & Reporting Duties
Keep accurate records of leads, client interactions, and conversions.
Submit a weekly activity report using the approved template.
Collect and document student or client feedback for continuous improvement.
Assist in organizing physical and virtual events, launches, and webinars.
Support coordination between the Marketing Department and Training/Admin Units.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
Prior internship, volunteer experience, or part-time work in marketing, sales, or events coordination is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
Proactive, ambitious, and eager to learn.
Comfortable speaking to groups and individuals both in-person and online.
Good grasp of digital tools (social media, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to travel locally for marketing events and client visits.
