Duties and Responsibilities
Doing inspection and routine maintenance of all bikes ready for sales
Customizing and fitting accessories to bikes prepared for sales
Assembling Repo bikes equipped for sales to the respective areas within or outside the warehouse.
Communicate important information to clients who take bikes for loan
Disassemble and reassemble equipment to perform repairs to bikes
Check the general condition of both exterior and interior bikes before we give a client. (General bikes inspections)
Complete minor body repairs such as changing oil, replacing spark plugs removing dents from fenders for bikes ready for sale
Make sure all bikes at the warehouse are clean and well maintained and arranged
Ensure all bikes are in working condition they are switched ON from time to time at least two times per week
Work hand in hand with warehouse officers to ensure the warehouse is well organized to allow smooth movements of bikes in and out by establishing labels for bikes within warehouses
Providing a report on the condition of all bikes ready for sale
Inspecting the condition of all bikes in the warehouses and making sure all GPS is working.
Removing all GPS in CONFIDENCE for bikes sold in cash.
Filling the inspection ticket of all bikes ready for sale.
Conduct any other tasks assigned by management.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement.
Vocational Training: Completion of a postsecondary training program in automotive service technology or a related field from a vocational school or community college.
Certifications and Licenses
ASE Certification: Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is highly desirable and often required by employers.
State Licensing: Depending on the region, a state-specific mechanic’s license may be required.
Manufacturer Certifications: Certifications from specific vehicle manufacturers can be beneficial.
Professional Experience
Apprenticeship or On-the-Job Training: Many mechanics start as apprentices or trainees under experienced mechanics.
Relevant Experience: Previous experience working in automotive repair shops, dealerships, or service centers.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and various hand and power tools.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose issues accurately and develop effective repair solutions.
Attention to Detail: Precision in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts and working in various positions.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
Computer Literacy: Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and repair management software.
