Job Description
China Forestry International Development Company is seeking applications from enthusiastic and talented fresh and recent graduates for the position of Graduate Management Trainee. The program is structured to provide recent graduates with a broad understanding of our business operations, hands-on experience across various departments, and the leadership skills needed to advance in the ever -changing and competitive job market. The successful candidates will be placed in the different departments like Sales, Human Resource, Factory, Plantation and Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints and Specifications:
Understanding technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine the required welding process and materials.
Preparing Materials and Equipment:
Setting up and operating welding equipment, such as torches, grinders, and welding machines.
Preparing metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, or grinding to ensure proper welds.
Performing Welding Operations:
Using various welding techniques, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), stick, and flux-cored arc welding, to join metal parts.
Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, depending on project requirements.
Inspecting Welds and Materials:
Examining workpieces for defects and measuring workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
Using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers, to check weld quality and dimensions.
Maintaining Equipment and Work Area:
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment.
Keeping the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
High School Diploma or Equivalent Qualification
A Minimum of 3 Years Experience.
A valid Certificate from an Accredited Institution
Excellent knowledge of Machinery, Electrical Equipment and Manual tools. Willingness to Work Outside Kampala
Willingness to Accept in Factory Accommodation and Meals.
