Organization:
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing Financial Statements: Creating balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports that summarize the company’s financial position.
General Ledger Management: Maintaining the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Month-End and Year-End Closures: Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures, which include reviewing accounts, ensuring all entries are posted, and producing financial reports.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and preparing financial statements that meet regulatory requirements. They may also work on tax filings and ensure adherence to tax laws.
Variance Analysis: Analyzing variances between actual results and budgets or forecasts to explain discrepancies and provide insights into financial performance.

Emata
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience:
Experience in accounting or financial reporting roles (typically 2-5 years).
Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Familiarity with ERP systems for financial reporting.
