About the Organization:

Emata is a licensed Microfinance Institution. Emata offers digital, affordable loans to farmers so they can turn their farms into businesses.

Organization:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial accounting, management reporting, and audits

  • Reconcile business and lending activities

  • Head our repayment team that handles incoming loan repayments and resolve non-repayment issues together with our team and partners

  • Report to funding partners and investors

  • Support the closing of investments and funding deals

  • Contribute to fact-based decision making

  • You will report directly to the CEO. The position is full-time and located in our beautiful office in Bugolobi, Kampala.

Emata

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or controlling, ideally with financial institutions

  • Good understanding of credit

  • Meticulous work attitude and high attention to detail

  • Hands-on mentality

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced tech startup

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Experience with Quickbooks is an advantage
