About the Organization:
To monitor, respond and proactively manage security operations center (SOC) in line with the Bank IT Security
Centenary Bank, also Centenary Rural Development Bank Limited, is a commercial bank in Uganda licensed by the Bank of Uganda, the central bank and national banking regulator.
Organization:
Duties and Responsibilities
Investigate, document, and report on any information security incidents based on event data from firewalls, WAF, IPS, and other sources.
Reviews alerts, threat intelligence, and security data of security tools based on traffic patterns to enable avert further risks from incidents
Identify, scan, and analyze vulnerabilities on the bank network through the SIEM and real time scans to enable safety in the bank network
Investigate suspicious activities, contain, and prevent them they cause.
Monitor log streaming continuity while Perform triage of incoming issues using ticket-tracking system.
Implement and manage SOC monitoring and analysis tools:
Check systems are prone to attacks or vulnerabilities, or they conform to the bank standards as stipulated by the I.T Service Delivery Policy
Provide support other business units bank wide.

Centenary Bank
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related area Professional (Minimum)
Required Experience and Competences:
CISSP/CEH/CISM/Security+/CSA Two (2) years’ experience in a role related to information security monitoring and vulnerability management t in a large Stewardship
At least 2 years’ experience in IT Security field
Required Skills:
Knowledge of networking, system administration, and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, Linux /UNIX/Windows administration skills).
Skills in log analysis, forensic investigation, and problem-solving to identify and respond to security incidents.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a team and with other stakeholders
Commitment to ongoing education, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends
Curiosity, passion for cybersecurity, attention to detail, and resilience under pressure
