About the Organization:

The Treasury Officer will report to the Treasury Manager Fixed Income and ALCO and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for monitoring the cash position and implement short-term investment strategies to maximize yield as per Pride’s policies.

Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) is a Microfinance Deposit- taking Institution regulated and supervised by Bank of Uganda (BoU) under the MDI Act, 2003 and MDI Regulations, 2004 with a capital base of Ugx. 174.69 billion as at June 2024and a purpose to transform lives responsibly.
Pride offers innovative financial solutions to largely people at the base of the economic pyramid and serves its customers through 41 networked branches and 5 contact offices

Organization:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update investment schedule

  • Carry market research to determine market trends

  • Monitoring cash and bank balances to ensure sound liquidity Management.

  • Negotiate for competitive prices for both assets and liabilities to achieve a stable net income.

  • Ensure compliance to cash management procedures.

  • Maintain good relationship with customers and other stakeholders.

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure compliance.

  • Submit bank statements to branches.

  • Undertake foreign exchange trading for both wholesale and retail clients.

  • Undertake mobile money /Agency Banking Operations in Treasury.

  • Carry out any other duties in the Department.

Pride Microfinance Limited

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics and any other related field.

  • At least two years’ experience in a financial institution within the treasury department.

  • He/she should not be more than 40 years of age.
