Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Executive located in Uganda. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for new business development, lead generation, business communication, and account management for 4×4 Tractors, Walking Tractors and Tricycles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis
Market Intelligence: Conducting research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Opportunity Identification: Identifying potential business opportunities and target markets.
Strategy Development
Business Planning: Developing business development strategies and plans to achieve company growth objectives.
Goal Setting: Setting achievable and measurable goals for revenue, market expansion, and client acquisition.
Lead Generation
Prospecting: Identifying and qualifying potential clients through various channels such as networking, cold calling, and online research.
Lead Nurturing: Developing and maintaining a pipeline of potential clients and nurturing relationships to convert leads into customers.
Client Relationship Management
Client Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Customer Feedback: Gathering and analyzing feedback from clients to improve products and services.
Sales and Negotiation
Sales Presentations: Creating and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiations: Negotiating contracts and terms with clients to secure business deals.
Collaboration and Coordination
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align business development efforts with overall company strategy.
Project Management: Coordinating and managing business development projects and initiatives.
Networking and Relationship Building
Networking Events: Attending industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company.
Partnerships: Identifying and establishing strategic partnerships and alliances.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
KPIs and Metrics: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts.
Reporting: Preparing and presenting regular reports on business development activities and results to senior management.
Market Entry Strategies
New Markets: Developing strategies for entering new markets, including market research, entry tactics, and risk assessment.
Localization: Adapting products and marketing strategies to fit the needs and preferences of local markets.
Product Knowledge and Training
Product Expertise: Maintaining a deep understanding of the company's products or services and their unique value propositions.
Training: Providing training and support to the sales team on business development strategies and tactics.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Skills
New Business Development and Lead Generation skills
Strong business and communication skills
Experience in account management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
Problem-solving and negotiation skills
Experience in Commercial vehicles and Agricultural machinery sales is an added advantage
